How to Check Attendance

• All colloquium classes this semester will be held in person.
• Pick up an attendance sheet at the entrance before class.
• Write your name, student ID, and a summary of the talk.
• After class, submit the completed sheet to a TA at the entrance.

Attendance Policy

• A minimum of 10 attendances in total is required to receive an S (pass).
• Korean students must attend at least 10 of the 12 College of AI Colloquium classes.
• International students must attend at least 6 of the 7 English-language College of AI Colloquium classes (excluding 5 classes in Korean). Any remaining attendance needed to reach a total of 10 may be made up by attending AI-related seminars organized or hosted by KAIST.

Attending Other Seminars

International students only

• Prepare the seminar announcement, such as an email or portal notice.
• Prepare at least two photos or screenshots as proof of attendance—for example, the seminar presentation screen and a photo showing yourself at the seminar venue.
• Submit both the announcement and the attendance photos together in a single private post on the KLMS Course Q&A board.

Absence & Late Arrival Policy

• Up to two absences may be excused for illness, an internship, or a business trip, but only when valid supporting documentation is submitted.
  • Supporting documentation is required for every excused-absence request, including illness and internships.
  • For a business trip, submit an approved business trip application form or equivalent supporting documentation.
  • To request an excused absence, post a private message on the KLMS Course Q&A board and email a TA.
• Attendance sheets will be removed 10 minutes after class begins.
  • 10–20 minutes late: marked as late. Please collect an attendance sheet from a TA.
  • More than 20 minutes late: marked as absent.
  • Two late arrivals count as one absence. A single late arrival does not count as an absence.
